Christian Kids Are For the Kingdom, Not the World!  

Will all of today's Jehosheba's please stand and be counted?

 

- Every Christian Mother is a Hannah.  Our children must be dedicated to Christ, to the true Temple or House of the Lord (the church today).

- World Powers and Governments have no rights to train up our children.  God gave that right and responsibility to parents, not governments. 

-  Governments can be very, very dangerous to the welfare of our children.

Sinners are always going to sin, even when they do not wish to do so. (Rom.7:14-120)  The mindset on the flesh is hostile towards God and is not even able to submit itself to the law of God. (Rom.8:5-9)  Governments of men then are made up of sinners.  Even democracies ... or especially.  That is why even a constitutional republic, based primarily on the laws of God, is no panacea in the end, because men cannot always keep even God's good and holy laws, even when wishing it so.  Pollyanna hopes for perfect government on earth is naive foolishness.  All we can pray and hope for is that the Lord will be merciful and give us some leaders who will give us some relative peace and security to go about our business without hindrance. (I Tim.2:1-4)  And we are instructed, as Christians, to obey whomever sits in the king's throne room, whether we like him or not.  This is the proper attitude of those who have subjected themselves to God through Christ.  It doesn't mean that we cannot pray and hope for a better government or change of kings.  And it doesn't mean that we cannot exercise our rights as citizens in our hopes for justice and good governance. Apostle Paul did so. (Acts 22:25-29)

 

The question is, do we trust sinners to raise our children to be avid, holy disciples of Jesus Christ?  To revere and respect, honor and actually obey the Truth?  As, Pilot, the appointed governor of Judea by the Roman government would say, "What is truth?"

Whose "truth" is taught in a pluralistic, secular society?  The present modern American version? The "all-African version", the local Asante version? So who decides what values, rules, principles, priorities, etc should be advocated and pressed on citizens and school children as true, lasting and even perfect rules for governing ourselves?  Unless all agree that the Word of God is the binding authority, there is no way to achieve true consensus.  A hodgepodge or manmade conglomeration of different beliefs and opinions of men become the norm.  Or there is just no norm at all.  Only pragmatic things are addressed, with science becoming the god that determines our priorities and values.  Whatever makes life more comfortable or even possible, such as principles of hygiene, fitness techniques, economic strategies, engineering principles, etc, become all that is propagated and taught. While this works in a way with society as a whole, as long each individual is truly left to freely choose their own values and beliefs, it doesn't work with the training up godly children.

 

Since we are spiritual creatures, we need purpose and a very clear direction as to what is right and wrong.  Our lives need guided by God's word into living as we ought.  We cannot create our own values based on our own private versions of what is the truth.  We need the Bible to lay it all out clearly for us as to how we should now live on this earth.  And children need it laid out in black in white why they exist, what they should aspire to become and do with their precious lives, by God alone.  We must not interfere with the true Creator and Maker of all human beings by inserting ourselves between Him and them.  Our purpose, as adults and as parents is to always lead the little ones in better understanding their true Father who is in heaven, and teaching them how to love, serve and worship Him through Christ.

 

It is the parent's right and responsibility to do this. (Eph.6:1-2)  Not the government's!  As already explained, there is no possible way that a government, no matter how well-meaning or enlightened, can properly do this.  Not unless we have a government that was made up of true, Bible-believing and obeying saints who really were Christians and used the Bible as their guide of conduct.  And this will never happen!  We cannot expect secular states or other governments to be theocracies, for reasons of which some are explained partially already in this lesson. Let us be clear.  Not even the best government appointed educators and trainers of our children can hope to do a proper job of it.  They are too handicapped by beauracratic restrictions, secular humanistic philosophies of the system, and lake of backup and follow-through ability, plus they cannot possibly truly love or understand our own children properly if not Spirit-filled and led. Futhermore, they did not carry the child in their own womb, help with delivery, change countless diapers, and so forth.  Real mothers will care more than paid professional child care givers and educators nine times out of ten. 

 

We must also understand, that other parents incompetence and sinful choices in lifestyle should not become our children's responsibility.  My grandchildren should not be expected to be social workers with other peoples brats who have not been raised properly.  Bad company corrupts good morals!  I am not expected, by God, to send my  six year old grandchild out as missionaries into a hostile environment every day.  That is like using them as bait to hunt for sharks or crocodiles!!  Who in their right mind would even think of doing such a thing?  How can a young six year old correct the bad attitude or actions of a teacher in the government schools?  How can a 9 year old correct the evolutionary bent and bias of his science teacher?  Would he even be allowed to challenge or argue with his teacher?  And if so, what is this teaching him... to respect, love and obey those who are put in charge over him?  How can any sensible parent not see how absurdly ludicrous it is to expect a child to be able to go into a secular school and change the system by himself? Can even a Christian teacher change the curriculum, direction or emphasis of such a school?  Or blend in for survival.  Sticking out with too much advocacy of the Bible truth will probably lead to being fired in most situations, I think.  Telling little Johnny and Sally to read their Bible every day, pray to Jesus, attend a true church and so forth will result in an interesting reaction in many places in western countries.

 

Now for the reality check:  Let's quit fooling ourselves.  Governments are not always benign, well-meaning entities that are really trying to help us know God and do right.  Often, throughout history and even now, they are the opposite.  From Islamic nations like wealthy Saudi Arabia to atheistic communist states like China, they are very dangerous beasts that are determined to stamp out Christianity and forcibly replace with whatever Satanically inspired "ism" they wish.  I now want us to look at the examples listed in the beginning of this lesson to sound a warning.  Notice that governments can and did issue heinous orders such as the wholesale murder of innocent children!!  And then the official security apparatus actually carried out these directives, while the rest of the population looked on either unconcerned or too fearful of government to do anything.  Note that in Egypt the midwives disobeyed the government.  Note how Jehosheba also did so.  Were they wrong?  Of course not!  We have a God-given right to do whatever is best to save the bodies and the souls of ourselves and our children.  We are not required to allow them to perish without intervention. Just like Shadrach, Mishach and Abed-nego and Daniel, we can disobey any command from any government any time we like if it is destructive to our spiritual well-being and contradicts our obedience from our consciences towards God.

 

You cannot mix oil and water!  You cannot take secular modern educational approaches and curriculums and mix them with a spiritual, Bible based approach with our children.  It just cannot work.  What partnership can light have with darkness? Read II Cor.6:14- 7:1.  "How can we be bound or married or in any way closely allied with unbelievers?", asks the Apostle Paul, inspired of the Holy Spirit.  The clear answer:  You cannot!  We mustn't be deceived, dear brethren.  There is sin involved here, and it is a salvation issue, for those parents who choose to disobey the instruction of the Holy Spirit to send their children into neo-pagan, secular school environment for up to 40 hours each week, and for the innocent lambs sent there.

 

Again I plead, will the real Joshebas please stand up!  Every Christian mother is to be a Hannah, and dedicate our child to the House of the Lord, the church today.  Not just a few moms who send their offspring to become reverends and priests.  All Christians are priests. Therefore, all Christian children must be trained as such!  Like Samuel, they must be raised for priestly work, as royal priests. (Rom.15:16)  They are to be trained for one thing, and one main thing only, to help bring in the Gentiles to Christ as acceptable, sanctified offerings.  Such work demands our best and requires much training before it can be effectively done.  Some of you have tried making disciples for some time. So where are they?  It seems that it is not such an easy thing to do.  In today's world, we must be well-educated and trained to reach people with the truth and extract them from Satan's grip, which he holds through layers of lies woven over many centuries.  If we weren't able to be carefully and thoroughly trained to be a minister(servant)of the Lord's church, while would we not do everything in our power to ensure that our children can be trained in such a way?  Do we really, really, want to hasten the day of Christ's appearing by preaching the gospel to every man under heaven, by training and sending our very best, our own offspring, into the ripened fields as capable personal soul winners? Or continue dissipating our energy and efforts in all kinds of vain pursuits and useless endeavors?  If someone says that they want to help win the lost and perishing souls to Christ, and will not help train up a generation of "professional" soul winners in their own homes who have memorized much scripture, been consistently taught, 40 hours a week by both example and exhortation the Word of God and the life of Christ, then "dey lie bad"!

 

Through AIDS and lesser but still very bothersome STDs, Satan takes away the health and productivity of children, due to the garbage morals that are learnt in public schools.  Humanistic evolution is also taught, both insidiously through suggestion and openly through science curriculum that have murdered and eliminated God as the Creator.  We must act!  We must save our Joash's from destruction by the ungodly Athaliahs of today.  Like her, we must hide our precious wards in the temple of the Lord, His church, and when they come of age, then can come out and destroy the lies of the Athaliahs, who have usurped God's place.  We must be brave and bold like Jehoida the priest.  Will the true Jehoshebas and Jehoidas please stand up?!
